It is the furthest north region in the province of Alicante. For this region passes the “Greenwich meridian” and the area has some much influence of both provinces (Valencia and Alicante), that the capital of the region celebrates both festivities the “Fallas” of Valencia (19th of March) and the “Hogueras” of Alicante (24th of June)
